Veronica Casey was born in Denver, Colo. in 1898 to John and Frieda Casey. She began teaching in 1928 at the Barnum School, later at Dora Moore Elementary School (1936) and Smiley Junior High School (1938) before becoming the Principal at the Columbian School. Casey eventually worked for the Denver (Colo.) Public Schools for over 38 years. She also headed the Department of Education at Regis College (1963-1971).
